“Hell Mouth” Relief Print

I was inspired by old medieval wood cuts of the Jaws of Hell or Mouth of Hell, some of which would appear in Illuminated manuscripts.

I started working on the block just a day before the LA fires stared, so  I felt weird sharing my progress of the block print online so I didn’t post it until a few months after.

Two color relief print made with premium oil based ink, printed on Japanese mull berry paper.
