Back Cover Summary
I’m going to start off and say: I know filmmaking is hard. I know no matter how hard you prepare and plan and polish, things still go wrong. Hell, even if things went perfectly, there are still people who don’t like a film. But we soldier on anyway.
I don’t think I’m immune to bad writing or filmmaking or from critiques. I went through 13 years of art classes- I’ve been through many critiques where I’ve had to justify my choices and have seen how we as viewers all bring our own contexts.
While I still like these movies overall and will keep re-watching them, I’ve got some takes that may go against what was intended or interpreted and I’ve got some issues with story mechanics. Maybe it’s rude to reimagine how the movie could have gone but I really want to use it as a teaching moment to show learning writers why something doesn’t work and what could fix it.

And you can catch her cozy, stoner short film Midge and Nancy on Youtube or Patreon. Yes it’s her first one, and she’s well aware of how imperfect it is. But she will move on and keep making films, regardless.
